The h3 Project’s 4th Annual Opioid Awareness

The “Rise to the Challenge: Make an Impact on DC’s Opioid Crisis” event was a success! The 2024 theme for the 4th Annual Opioid Union Station event took place on September 18, 2024  from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in front of Union Station located at Columbus Circle, 50 Massachusetts Avenue, N.E, Washington, D.C. 20002. Many participated included the Mayor’s Police Outreach team, Officer Jeremiah Jones and his new task force, Dr. Ami Angell, the CEO of h3 Project Team and the Union Station MPD Police staff.

DC Recovery was fortunate to participate and provide a table with educational handouts. Our Community Outreach Coordinator, Brian Person, took the time to answer the visitors’ questions and to illustrate on how to accurately perform an opioid overdose reversal using NARCAN training techniques.
