Community & DC Recovery: We stick together!

Addictions gradually destroy the victim’s ability to function in their community. People suffering from drug abuse and related problems can quickly spiral downward because they find it difficult to normally function in the community due to intense anxiety. This is why the community plays a significant role in treatment and recovery and DC Recovery knows that the community encompasses all aspects of addiction, treatment, and recovery for where treatment is done, and connections are made.

DC Recovery works with the community to help our clients connect with others in the community and help them to actively participate in their recovery program. We help the client to understand the value of community-based treatments and the importance of following the treatment plan to achieve long-term results. This is possible when the treatment plan and overall community come together to encourage the client to remain focused on their hopeful future of personal wellness.

Our successful collaboration with our community partners promotes positive attitudes. We work with our clients to set the right boundaries and offer substitutes to replace negative behaviors. Our peer support provides the trust that the client, the family, and friends need to begin productive interaction with the community.

DC Recovery and The Community – We stick together to save lives.
