CCAR – Recovery Coach Academy

What a productive day! On July 19th, 2024, DC Recovery attended the CCAR Recovery Coach Academy© intensive 5-day training session. The session provides individuals with skills and tools to effectively guide, mentor and support anyone who would like to begin or sustain long-term recovery from alcohol or drug addictions. The session was held at the American Psychological Association (APA) located at 750 First Street, N.E. Washington, D.C. and approved by NAADAC #195293.

Delivered in a retreat-like environment, the program prepares participants to actively listen, be as inquisitive as possible, and handle the issues that accompany addictions. We had an amazing opportunity to sponsor a group of attendees and to collectively continue discussing the much-needed training topics with Ms. Anna Jones and the attendees during the lunch break.
