A Tribute to Malcolm X (Black History Month)

DC Recovery’s Black History Month celebration featuring Mr. Darrick Johnson aka Brother Malcolm at our monthly Variety Show was a hit. Mr. Johnson also had books, t-shirts and other literature representing the great Malcom X and his accomplishments during the Civil Rights Movement for sale. What an educational experience!

Several performers were present and the crowd loved it. Mr. Roger Wright and his Recovery in the Arts (R.I.T.A.) was another success in connecting the community with our clients in recovery. Bridging the gap to understanding how we transform their defects into assets. Other performers were also well-received by our incredible audience. After the performance, light refreshments were served to our guest.

What a celebration of the life, achievements, and teachings of Malcolm X! Such a befitting event for Black History Month!
