Back To School Community Day
On Thursday, August 15, 2024, DC Recovery participated in the “Back to School Community Day” event with one of the D.C. Mayor’s Outreach teams. The successful Ward 7 event was held at the Capital View Neighborhood Library located at 5001 Central Avenue, N.E. and in attendance were service groups such as AmeriHealth, MedStar Family Choice, and the D.C. Public Library. DC Recovery had the opportunity to meet with many of the participants and discuss their “long-term recovery services” offered through community outreach and at our Peer Operated Center located at 5656A 3rd Street, N.E.
The fun-filled day was accompanied by a live band, a D.J., and food.
