SUMMARY:What a Success! The Men's Ministry Townhall Panel
DESCRIPTION:The Town Hall Discussion was a huge success on Saturday\, April 20\, 2024 at DC Recovery’s Center located at 5656A 3rd Street\, N.E. Approximately 30 attendees with a focus to unite\, were present. The mission for the Town Hall Group discussion is to help recruit our young men in the community back into the church. Mr. Brian Person who is responsible for our Community Outreach along with Mr. Holloway Coates collaborated to use the Center as a “safe space” outside of the church where the young men openly discussed some of the obstacles they face when coming to church. Thought-provoking questions were asked by the moderator\, “What is needed to help bridge the connection\, to bring the men into church?” and “What is the meaning of being Christ-like?” What an effective exchange of ideas and feelings shared! \nHere is a list of some of the attendees: \nTown Hall Discussion\nMr. Brian Person (Outreach Coordinator\, DCRCA)\nMr. Holloway Coats (group Organizer New Smyrna Baptist Church)\nRev.
